This year’s edition is a special one, as it celebrates the 200th anniversary of rugby, which was born in England in 1823. With just a few weeks to go before kick-off, major events are being organised all over the country and free-access Rugby Villages are being set up to welcome French and international supporters. Some of these Villages have a capacity of up to 40,000 people and are being installed in each host city to offer a festive and unifying programme of activities.

The 2023 World Cup will start on September 8th at the Stade de France with a prestigious opening match between France, the host country, and New Zealand, the holder of the title. During the first phase, the stadium will host several major matches from the 4 pools, followed by half of the matches in the ¼ finals in collaboration with the Stade de Marseille, and finally all the matches in the final phase.

Want to share this event with even more people? In less than 30 minutes by metro or by bike, you can reach the Fan Zone on Place de la Concorde. The Paris Rugby Village is designed to bring together up to 10,000 people in a festive atmosphere from 2pm to 11.30pm all along the competition.
