Exhibition for 6 – 11 year old: Metamorphosis invites children to play with science

Just a 3-minute walk from the ReMIX Hotel, the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie offers permanent and temporary exhibitions for all ages and interests. Workshops, events and conferences provide access to culture and knowledge that is constantly being enriched.

From the end of the year until March 2024, “Précieux Déchets” (Precious Waste), conceived by London’s Design Museum, will be raising people’s consciousness. Until September, Faye Formisano is taking over the Galerie Arts et Sciences at the Cité for another journey into the world of the imagination, between living beings and history. Today we’ve chosen to talk to you about Metamorphosis, which invites children to experience an interactive tale and discover science moulded by their imaginations.

Since April 2023, this temporary exhibition, aimed at children aged 6 to 11, has been on show at the Cité des Sciences de La Villette, offering a fun experience in a dialogue between science and imagination. Through an interactive tale and a range of workshops, children will discover the transformations that sometimes amaze them, sometimes frighten them a little. Because growing up and developing are changes that need to be dealt with. And what better way to understand than to use games? Until November 2024, this exhibition welcomes young visitors and parents alike for an immersive experience that softens the little things of everyday life.

To make the most of these family moments, the ReMIX Hotel is ideally located just a stone’s throw from the Cité des Sciences, in the heart of La Villette. The Marvin & The Gang bar is open for you to relax during the day, or in the evening after your visits. The winter holidays are just around the corner, so why wouldn’t you want to make the most of them? All you need to do is cross the esplanade!
